About
My research is interdisciplinary (perhaps to the extreme).
The focus of my current theoretical research is a book manuscript that attempts to demonstrate that the tools of the cognitive sciences can, at least in some cases, be trained upon the purposeful behavior of groups--because some groups have minds like our own!
My current empirical research attempts to uncover the computational principles that are implicit in patterns of mature moral judgment. On the basis of this research, I am also currently in a number of collaborative research projects that target the deficits in moral cognition that are displayed patient populations and incarcerated psychopaths. With this research, my hope is to learn more about the mechanisms that underlie moral cognition.
