About
Ashley Elmendorf Fidler is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Linguistics at Georgetown University, specializing in child language development. Her research interests center on the acquisition of morphosyntax within the wider context of early cognitive development. Her dissertation research investigates how Hungarian-speaking children use spatial markers in abstract lexical contexts (e.g., in expressions such as "believe in" or "on Saturday"). Additionally, as a member of the Georgetown Early Learning Project, she has participated in research investigating the development of caregiver-infant interaction and communication during early television viewing.
